My Design Philosophy

The emotion present in the art of the architectural environment is not just a test of my design ability but also a practical reflection of my design attitude. When I create an excellent artistic design of the architectural environment, it has the power to fully stimulate people's thinking and emotional activities, resulting in diverse emotional attitudes towards architecture. This emotion goes beyond the architectural environment itself and establishes a profound emotional connection between the architectural environment and my own heart. It helps me and others to find liberation from the burdens of work and life, making the emotional significance of architectural environment art truly meaningful to me.

Inspiration of vines

My inspiration came from vines and vines. I chose the shape of vines, curved type, and my reconstruction building was square. I chose the combination of curved curves and straight lines to show different visual effects.

Integrating Vines

Vines, which grow on buildings, are curved, so I mixed the curved curve and the straight line into one, and integrated them into the facade of the building, which was transformed into a curved surface.

Curved Facade

The display effect is shown in Figure 3. The curved facade can better solve the problem of wind direction in coastal areas, expand the floor area of the building and increase the beauty of the building itself.

Combining Vines

Figure 4 is the summary of the first three parts of the introduction. The curve inspiration obtained from vines is combined with the cube to get the final effect of the building itself. The vine itself is a dependent plant, and this design also uses the natural characteristics of the plant.

Design directions and proposed design drawings

Transformation and rebirth, looking for urban memory, traditional and modern blend, dialogue with architectural space, green rebirth. The emphasis of the renovation and renewal, the re-giving of its new function, the restoration of its vitality, and the use of local materials; Must conform to the historical context of the city; The interior decoration is proposed to be a combination of traditional and modern interior style, so that it can meet the needs of modern residents' quality life while maintaining the cultural heritage. The design of landscape should not only coordinate with architectural style and interior style, but also meet the sensory needs of different people, separating public and private, moving and dynamic zones. New materials and new technologies are used to create green and ecological buildings.

Final Design Proposal

The transformation of the design layout of the building itself integrates the crowd into it as a whole, and the transformation of the design of the internal layout improves the overall function of the building

General Views

1. The outdoor part is replanned to increase the level of the courtyard, enhance the landscape effect and guide the flow in and out. 2. Facade: Mainly repair, extract the architectural characteristics of the German period, follow the principle of repairing the old as the old, and partially transform. 3. Internal functions: Integrate small rooms, connect the blocked internal corridors, and transform the private living space into a public display space. 4. Color and materials: Extract the architectural characteristics (brick and wood structure, colour characteristics) of German-German period to enhance the characteristics of historical buildings

Design Narrative

With the rapid iteration of technology, the most distinctive feature of Generation Z compared to other generations must be the use of information technology. Generation Z, known as the digital natives, spend the most time on electronic devices compared to different generations, including learning, entertainment and social interaction, leading to a characteristic of Generation Z that other generations do not have - loneliness and insecurity. Online dating allows them to fill their loneliness while ensuring the security that Generation Z needs, something that is hard to find in Generation Y and Generation X. The contradiction between the desire to socialise and the fear of socialising makes Gen Z less likely to trust others and more likely to be attracted to their sparkle, in short, Gen Z is a lonely and contradictory combination.

Part I: Generation Z and Self Identification

'Generation Z, known as the digital natives, spend the most time on electronic devices compared to different generations, ... leading to a characteristic of Generation Z that other generations do not have - loneliness and insecurity.'

Vibes from the Internet

With the rapid iteration of technology, the most distinctive feature of Generation Z compared to other generations must be the use of information technology. Generation Z, known as the digital natives, spend the most time on electronic devices compared to different generations, including learning, entertainment and social interaction, leading to a characteristic of Generation Z that other generations do not have - loneliness and insecurity. The contradiction between the desire to socialise and the fear of socialising makes Gen Z less likely to trust others and more likely to be attracted to their sparkle, in short, Gen Z is a lonely and contradictory combination. The most distinctive feature of Generation Z to previous generations is that they live in a technologically advanced society, and in combination with other factors - family composition, historical background, changes in social structure, lifestyle and ideology.

Part II:  Pre-generation Z and Self Identification

'Because of the ubiquity of technology and various other factors, Baby Boomers are the most physical generation. They don't have online dating, which makes the relationship between people more natural and closer.'

Limitations and breakthroughs in the architectural design of the baby boomer generation

To recover from the economic setbacks of World War II, countries began to encourage families to have more children to make up for the shortage of productivity, and birth rates increased dramatically. Several Baby Booms have been recorded in history, usually due to exciting factors such as bumper crops, winning wars and sports competitions, but also due to superstitious factors. The Baby Boomers in the same region (Asia) will be different. China and the United States, both victorious countries, will have different characteristics if we use victory or defeat in World War II as a benchmark. Both are influenced by economic, political, and environmental factors, resulting in distinctive Baby Boomers in each region and country. And what they all have in common is that they have worked hard to rebuild their countries after the Second World War. Because of the ubiquity of technology and various other factors, Baby Boomers are the most physical generation. They don't have online dating, which makes the relationship between people more natural and closer.

Part III: Generations and Community

'The most significant difference between Generation Z and the Baby Boomers is the difference in communication, creating a generational gap that is difficult to bridge.'

The similarities and differences between Gen z and Baby Boomers

The most significant difference between Generation Z and the Baby Boomers is the difference in communication, creating a generational gap that is difficult to bridge. Virtual and physical ways of communication are complementary to some extent, but eliminating invisible barriers between people is something we need to solve through the means of design. Although there are many differences between Generation Z and the Baby Boomers because of their historical backgrounds, the commonalities they share are also very obvious - they are all eager to communicate. However, the older generation has yet to keep up with technological development, thus creating much disconnection within modern society. Similarly, Generation Z is overly reliant on technology and has become disconnected from society. However, no matter which communication method is chosen, it is only a medium. The real meaning behind communication is the connection between people.
